Launches a central customer account for online services and transactions. Offers dedicated gateway with access to centralised services and integration with payments systems.

The NSW Minister for Finance, Services and Property, Dominic Perrottet, has unveiled the first phase of the MyServiceNSW initiative

This launch offers a central customer account for government online services and transactions. An integrated gateway provides access to wide-ranging services across departments and agencies.

“Too often online services for different government agencies require different websites and multiple accounts,” Mr Perrottet said. “But good service means putting the customer at the centre of the experience.”

For customers who choose to set up a MyServiceNSW account, they are able to securely store information in their digital profile. This removes having to re-enter their details for different government services.

Services currently linked to the profile include selected transactions from Roads and Maritime and the Office of State Revenue. This also includes licence information, vehicle registrations, demerit points and fine payments.

In coming months, Service NSW is working with agencies to make more products and services available.

This latest initiative underscores moves to streamline customer services. Moves are underway to digitise 70 per cent of transactions that will be handled ServiceNSW by 2019.

The MyServiceNSW launch coincides with the introduction of a new payment platform. This initiative eliminates duplication of the payments infrastructure, and offers a more consistent payment experience across government.

The aim is to streamline the back-end payments infrastructure, and avoid waste or duplication of services. This also examines the possibility of incorporating payment methods like PayPal, Apple Pay, MasterPass, and Visa Checkout.
