Andrew is a Senior Associate at Hudson Gavin Martin in Auckland, specialising in technology and commercial law.
He has just returned to New Zealand after six years in London, where most recently he led the FinTech & Innovation practice in the Commercial Legal team at Barclays Bank – responsible for providing strategic and transactional advice on the bank's technology and innovation projects from inception through to execution. During his time at Barclays, Andrew supported the bank's Open Innovation programme as it grew from a single Accelerator in 2013 to become a global network of innovation hubs under the 'Rise' banner, and regularly spoke at industry events on the topic of innovation in banking.
Andrew joined Barclays from the London office of global law firm Taylor Wessing, where he focused on technology transactions and projects, software development, data protection and commercial contracts.
Andrew spent the first six years of his career at Bell Gully in Wellington, advising public and private sector clients on technology, commercial and procurement projects as well as public and administrative law.
