Eric Wilson

Chief Executive Officer / Xinja (Australia’s First Neobank)

An ex Big 4 bank executive with 20 years of experience working with financial institutions as both an executive and a management consultant, Eric has worked in both the banking and wealth management disciplines of financial services.

Prior to founding Xinja, Eric was the CEO of National Australia Trustees, a subsidiary of NAB.

Eric’s view on banking has been heavily influenced by this role as the head trustee for over a billion dollars worth of funds belonging to vulnerable and catastrophically injured Australians. He has witnessed the very human impact that both good and bad banking has. He is utterly passionate about bringing great value, innovative, ethical neo banking to Australia.

Eric chaired the Investment Committee for NAB, as well as having responsibility for ensuring his team met their extensive moral, fiduciary, compliance and risk management obligations to their beneficiaries.

He was responsible for running a national business across 5 capital cities, and gained extensive experience in managing high profile, high risk, litigious and compliance-heavy environments.

For three years prior to that, Eric was responsible for the design and implementation of the NAB Group’s implementation of the Future of Financial Advice legislation.

Eric has also held the position of CEO of Lighthouse Associates, a financial services management consultancy working with a number of global and Australian listed companies. Eric began his career at Accenture as a consultant working across the globe.
