Digital banking solution and fintech provide Fidor Solutions has announced the appointment of Brad Whittfield to the position of global chief financial officer.

The position of global chief financial officer (CFO) at Fidor Bank’s fintech arm, Fidor Solutions, is being filled by former KPMG and PwC employee, Brad Whittfield.

The newly-created CFO within the fintech group would be based in Dubai – Fidor Solutions’ central hub for its global expansion. Commenting on the appointment Fidor Solutions chief executive and co-founder, Matthias Kroner, said the expansion of the fintech would be top on the agenda.

“The role of CFO is a key role to any fintech as it focuses on ensuring both growth and sustainability,” he said.

“The appointment of Brad demonstrates the investment of the Fidor Group to further strengthen its executive team in supporting its global expansion strategy.”

Whittfield has diverse experience in the financial services sector at leading global financial institutions, consulting firms, and private equity firms. He had more than 15 years’ experience as a lawyer and would be charged with overseeing the current global operations of the group in Europe, the US, the Middle East, and Asia.

“Fidor is globally recognized as a leader in the fintech and digital banking space. The Group has experienced some phenomenal growth during the last 12 to 24 months and I am very pleased to be joining this dynamic team as the group looks to continue its global expansion strategy,” he said.
