Kevin Lam Sai Yoke has switched roles at United Overseas Bank. He will now serve as Deputy Chief Operations Executive effective 1 December 2013. He leaves his role as Managing Director and Country Head of personal financial services in Malaysia. Annie Tan Huey Ping will take up the role of managing director of personal finance, at UOB Malaysia, effective immediately.
Oi-Yee Choo will take up a role as Head of Investment Banking for Singapore at UBS. She is currently head of Singapore investment banking and Executive Director at Morgan Stanley. She replaces Keith Magnus who left the role at UBS in July, the role is being split between Choo and Sufyan Abdul Jabbar, who will take over head of investment banking for Malaysia on 2 January 2014, leaving his role as Director at CIMB.
Lena Yong Oi Ling has been appointed Director, Head of Institutional Equities in Asia at RHB Investment Bank. She will be based in Singapore.
Ed King will move to the U.S. to take up the position of Executive Chairman of Global M&A at Barclays from his previous position as Head of M&A for Asia Pacific, according to media reports.
Eugene Iwami has been appointed sole head of the Japan division of equities at Merill Lynch, a promotion from his previous role as Head of Japan Equities Trading. He takes over from Paddy Hogan who will move to the U.S. to run the U.S. end of Japan sales at Bank of America, Merill Lynch.
Antony Leong will leave his role as Blackstone’s Chairman for Greater China and join property development firm Nan Fung in Hong Kong as its new CEO from February 2014. Leong will retain a senior advisory role at Blackstone as a member of its international advisory board.
Daniel Dees will move from his position as Co-Head of Investment Banking for Asia Pacific (excluding Japan) and chairman of the financing group in Japan at Goldman Sachs and return to the U.S. according to media reports.
Hans Diederen will become Credit Agricole Suisse’ new Chief Executive for private banking in Asia. Diederen was previously head of Southeast Asia wealth management Bank of America, Merill Lynch in Singapore, according to media reports.
Novianti Hardi has been appointed to the role of regional head of Trade Finance and Cash Management in Indonesia at Deutsche Bank. Elwin Karyadi will become the bank’s head of global transaction banking in Indonesia, according to reports.
Chintan Shah has moved to Head of Trade Finance and Cash Management at Deutsche Bank in Malaysia from his role as head of cash management for corporates in India. Rosalina Lazuardi has been appointed head of global network banking, Indonesia.
Rammohan Rao Belle has been appointed as an additional director at Karnataka Bank Ltd in India, He moves from his previous role as former managing director and CEO of SBI General Insurance Co Ltd.
