FIIG Securities has launched a free mobile app that will increase the level of access to information for investors.

Pricing and availability in the over-the-counter bond market will soon be available, with the fixed income specialist’s app showing daily prices, yields and research on more than 300 bonds from corporate and government organisations. The app will also offer market commentary, investor education, portfolio monitoring and online ordering.

FIIG chief executive Mark Paton said the app was a market breakthrough and would encourage Australian investors in the market.

“The app is the latest milestone in our journey to put Fixed Income on the map in Australia,” he said.

“Giving investors the information they need to get transparency in the OTC Bond market is essential to enabling them to invest with confidence.”

The app, which will be available on both Apple and Android devices, is set to enhance investors knowledge of the market and is supported by a real time buy and sell enquires platform linking users directly to FIIG.

The launch of FIIG’s latest service follow on from a strong year for the dealer, which included the launch of Australia’s first online ordering system for bonds, as well as a Managed Income Portfolio Service for investors.
