Gerard McDermott joined MetLife in Australia as Chief Strategy and Customer Officer in May 2018 and is responsible for leading the Strategy, Project Management Office, Customer, Digital, Marketing and Data functions. Gerard has over 20 years of experience in financial services including senior operational and business leadership roles and has a proven track record of leading successful business transformations, developing business strategies and building customer value propositions. He holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of New England and Northern Rivers  and is a Certified Practicing Accountant.
