Hon Peter Dunne
Hon Peter Dunne has been a New Zealand Member of Parliament since 1984 in the electorate of Ōhariu. He was Minister of Revenue and Associate Minister of Health from 2005 to 2013, and also Associate Minister of Conservation between 2011 and 2013. He has been appointed Minister of Internal Affairs, Associate Minister of Health and Associate Minister of Conservation since January 2014.
As Minister of Internal Affairs, Minister Dunne’s portfolio includes the oversight of the Department of Internal Affair’s Government ICT Digital Strategy. He holds ministerial responsibility for the Department of Internal Affairs as the lead agency for achieving the Government’s ‘Better Public Services’ Result 10: “New Zealanders can complete their transactions with government easily in a digital environment”. New Zealand is one of the Digital 5 (D5) nations which is a network of leading digital governments with the goal of strengthening the digital economy.
