Ryan Haugarth is Head of Digital for HSBC’s Insurance business in Hong Kong. In this role he works to make Insurance easier for customers to find, research and and buy through a fresh approach to product design and digital distribution strategy.
Prior to HSBC, Ryan was in involved in several leading eCommerce businesses in Asia. As Regional Director & GM for LivingSocial in APAC, he helped acquire and grow eCommerce businesses in North & South East Asia to $1B USD in annual revenue. He was an early member of the team that launched the $100M USD Groupon, Rocket Internet & TenCent Joint Venture in China which scaled to over 3,000 staff in less than a year. He has developed deep expertise in digital product strategy, omnichannel customer experience, digital marketing, CRM, loyalty, strategic partnerships, business development & salesforce management in roles across N.America, Europe and Asia.
Ryan is involved in the fintech and startup community with experience across founder, advisor & investor roles. He graduated with distinction earning dual undergraduate degrees in Economics & Finance from the University of Wisconsin, Madison (USA) and has an MBA from INSEAD (France & Singapore).
