Angela Dixon

General Manager, Operational Excellence – Consumer Division / IAG New Zealand

Angela, a Chartered Accountant, has been working most recently in Insurance and for the last 10 years, in a number of roles here and in the UK.

Currently Angela is General Manager of Operational Excellence within the Consumer division which trades under the AMI, State, NAC, Bank customer brands.  The current focus is how to take the business from a traditional insurer to a customer focused insurer relevant for all ages and personalities.

Her accountabilities cover a board range of functions including customer pricing and financial performance, product development and customer propositions, operational improvements and efficiencies, underwriting, first line risk, quality, operational reporting and insights, customer support functions, core technology platform enhancement, internal communications and business change teams.    It's an exciting time in insurance currently as its effectively its the insurance sectors time to "change" and new players are disrupting the dynamics of the industry to ensure its well shaped to be relevant for the future for all New Zealanders.

Prior to IAG Angela has had roles in Strategy at Auckland International Airport Ltd and Telewest communications Plc UK, and various corporate finance roles at PWC and Royal Sun Alliance Plc UK.
