Florian Generalao

Chief Technologist, APJ Office of the Chief Technology Officer / Hewlett Packard Enterprise

Florian Generalao is currently the HPE Account Chief Technologist for Commonwealth Bank of Australia, the largest bank in Australia. In this role, Florian influences the strategic direction, leads the development of the strategic technology plan and the technical dimension of the account business plan and innovation agenda.

Prior to her current role, Florian was the Account Chief Technologist and Technology Architecture and Design Lead for a major transformation program for a large bank in Mauritius. In this role, Florian primarily operates at senior leadership level, provides program technical leadership, and drives the architectural and design program of work.

Operating at the CxO and senior leadership level, Florian focuses on defining long-term technology strategies and roadmap. She actively collaborates with business and IT teams, brings into these engagements her deep industry insights, lesson learned and proven IT methodology. She has a track record demonstrating her ability as a technology strategist for enterprise scale projects through the full life cycle and drive client impact with business success.

She is an Open Group certified Master IT Architect since 2006. She regularly serves in both HP’s and Open Group’s IT architect certification board.

Before migrating to Australia in 1996, Florian served as the Director of the Institute of Information and Computing Sciences, Management Information Systems Director, and Dean of the College of Information and Computing Science in Saint Louis University from 1990 to 1996.

Florian holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from De La Salle University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from Saint Louis University.
