Jason Dehni is Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Manulife Asia. In this role Jason has responsibility for agency development, partnership channel development, customer centricity, brand development and communications, and product strategy, working closely with the Company’s businesses across the region.
Jason joined Manulife in 2012 as SVP, Corporate Strategy. In this role he was responsible for engaging the Company's senior management team across Canada, the US and Asia, primarily in three areas: strategy planning, developing CEO-mandated strategic initiatives, and developing thought leadership on market trends and competitive intelligence.
Prior to joining Manulife Jason held a variety of leadership roles at a major Canadian bank, primarily in wealth and insurance. At the bank, he led the development and execution of strategy for local wealth management businesses in Mexico and select markets in Latin America and the Caribbean. Prior to this, Jason was responsible for bancassurance across three major distribution channels and over 10,000 sales agents, overseeing product development, marketing, sales management and performance management. Other roles included Corporate Development, Private Wealth Management and Asset Management. Previously, Jason was a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company.
Jason holds a BA in Political Science and Economics from the University of Toronto (Honors standing) and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is a co-founder and previous Chair of Artbound, a non-profit organization that builds educational infrastructure and arts programming for underprivileged children in developing countries. Jason has also served on a number of non-profit Boards including The National Ballet of Canada.
