Steve is a CISO with over 25 years working in law enforcement and information security fields. After a long career as a senior Detective in Police, Steve ran NZ Police’s national cybercrime unit and was the NZ delegate to INTERPOL’s cyber centre in Singapore. He returned to take up a role in the National Cyber Security Centre where he managed a unit of cyber analysts and incident responders, overseeing the national response to advanced cyber threats. Moving on to Parliament, he was engaged on a greenfield project to create a cyber security team, and design, build and deliver a programme to improve the cyber-security of the Parliamentary environment.
