Tracy Parsons has over 20 years information management experience, most recently leading the information function at the NZ Transport Agency. Key achievements in that role include the award-winning ECM and digital case management programme, InfoHub; establishment of a robust open data capability; and substantial improvements to how the Agency manages and exploits its data.
A lawyer by training, she was formerly the Information Manager at New Zealand’s Parliament where she developed and led an information management programme for Parliamentary staff and members of Parliament.
Tracy is an active participant in the NZ public sector information community. She has been a member of various public sector information management reference groups; a prime mover of the Transport Sector Information Group; and chair of the New Zealand Government Information Group.
She is passionate about the cultural and behavioural factors which lead to well-managed and well-exploited information and has presented at a number of conferences on this topic.
