TAL unveils digital content hub for advisers

Life insurance giant TAL has launched a dedicated digital content hub for its advisory team, including ‘white-label’ resources for client communications and tools to support remote working.

Rolled out in response to Covid lockdowns, the online portal provides support around five key advisory pressure points: Connecting with clients; Supporting clients; Adapting to virtual businesses; Adviser health and wellbeing; and Digital CPD (continuing professional development) learning.

Through the portal, advisers can access material to support customers facing financial hardship, particularly relevant during the current Covid crisis, as well as resources to help ease the transition to remote advisory, and tips for maintaining personal health and wellbeing during the pandemic.

The bulk release of the adviser resources follows the April launch of TAL’s virtual Risk Academy, which was released during the height of the lockdowns to provide Covid-relevant support to its adviser team.

TAL head of licensees and partnerships, Beau Riley, speaking on the release of the new online hub, acknowledged the need for advisers to “respond quickly” to customer needs in a financially as well as socially challenging time.

“We recognise that advisers have an essential role to play in ensuring we can all come out of this time stronger than before, and we are committed to continuing to invest in opportunities to better serve advisers, both personally and professionally,” Riley said.

“Advisers are needed now more than ever as many Australians are grappling with the new normal and seeking financial security. There is a unique opportunity for advisers to position themselves as a source of trust and proactively connect with clients in meaningful ways,” he added.
