Newly-appointed inaugural head of Fintech Australia, Danielle Szetho, has identified Australia’s biggest innovation challenge.

According to Szetho, Australia needs to deepen its talent pool if it is to claim an undisputed spot in the world’s top five fintech hubs.  In doing so, the first fintech chief said that the Australian media has one of the biggest roles to play by scoping out, recognising and building fintech success through stories to drive a cultural change.

An example of positive cultural mind change identified by Szetho is Britain; investment in financial services start-ups has grown to be popular to the extreme and sees the country leading the globe for fintech.
