Doug Caldwell has been appointed as the Chief Risk Officer of insurance/ IM EurAsia at ING Insurance. In the role Caldwell will be responsible for all operational and business-related aspects of risk management. He joined ING in 1999 and was previously the Chief Risk Officer at ING Insurance Asia Pacific. He has also held roles at ARM Financial Group and Ernst & Young.
Peter Jaeger has been named as Bank of America Merrill Lynch Head of Futures & Options and OTC Clearing, Asia Pacific. Jaeger will be based in Tokyo and comes from J.P. Morgan where he was responsible for the Futures and OTC Clearing business in Japan and South Korea.
Simon Lucocq has been appointed Head of Technology and Operations in Asia Pacific for Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He was previously the global CIO at Nomura, and succeeds Dennis Arnum, who is retiring after 37 years with Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
Fred DiCocco has been appointed Head of Sales & Relationship Management, Treasury Services for BNY Mellon Asia Pacific. He will report to Alan Verschoyle-King, global Head of Sales & Client Management, treasury services, and has worked for the bank since 1998. He will be based in Hong Kong, and has been working for BNY Mellon there since 2006.
Kevin Goldmintz has been named as Head of Hong Kong & Macau for MasterCard. He joined the payments company in 2004 and has been based in Hong Kong initially, successfully launching the MasterCard-Citi Commercial Card business in seven markets across Asia Pacific. After operating in Australia for a few years from 2007, Goldmintz will return to Hong Kong in his new role.
Helman Sitohang has been named Head of Investment Banking, Asia Pacific, at Credit Suisse. This is a newly-created role, and Sitohang will be responsible for strengthening the positioning of Credit Suisse’s equity, fixed income and investment banking businesses in the region.
Osama Abbasi, former Credit Suisse Asia Pacific CEO, has left the company, following a reorganisation of the Asia Pacific business eliminating his role. Abassi has held various roles at the bank since 1996.
Wendy Lim has been named Regional Head of Business Development, Asia Pacific, at BNY Mellon. She will report to Jane Claire, Head of Strategy, Development, Product and Marketing in the role, and will be based in Singapore. Prior to the appointment, Lim was the Managing Director for Retail Banking and Wealth Management, Asia Pacific, at ANZ Bank.
Steven Sun has been appointed as Head of Investment Banking in North Asia at Standard Chartered. He will be based in Hong Kong, and previously worked at Barclays Capital.
