This closed-door session will connect a group of 10-12 Victorian Public sector leaders to discuss the theme: “Going Beyond the Essential Eight to Secure Citizen Data”, with Anthony Bodin and Anthea Kapa, Thales Group.

Guests will share ideas, learnings and current challenges and successes across Victorian Public sector data, IT and security programs, taking into consideration the below questions and discussion points:

Moderator– Anthony Bodin, Thales Group

Anthony Bodin brings a unique perspective to Cyber Security having co-founded one of Australia’s first Internet Service Providers to being a co-founder and director of the ASX listed ITE, which developed Australia’s largest share trading platform and numerous start-ups. In this time, he has seen the evolution of Cybersecurity, when Firewalls represented the core cybersecurity investment to the current landscape where having depth and breadth of capability are essential for any data dependent organisation looking to embed data security 

Anthea Kapa, Thales Group

Anthea has more than twenty years in IT experience providing solutions to complex problems amongst multiple industries, helping organisations transform the way they deploy, manage and use applications to drive their business.  

 Her experience and background has fundamentally helped her understand where her true passion is: Technology and People. In today’s digital world, and with an increase in Cyber Attacks, Anthea has a strong focus assisting organisations who are data dependent with their sensitive data to overcome their challenges and to deliver great user experiences.
