Citibank has launched a new digital solution which would eliminate the need for corporate users to carry physical tokens for logins.
Citi is introducing its new digital offering MobilePASS across 11 Asia-Pacific markets including Singapore and Australia, following the success of a soft launch last year.
The hardware token previously used by corporates to generate login passcodes would now be invalid, with MobilePASS to be rolled out on all smartphone devices as part of Citi’s agenda to introduce new digital solutions to offer onmi-channel banking experiences.
“MobilePASS is easy to use and improves the login experience for users of all levels within the organization – from CFOs who need to view transaction analytics, to corporate treasurers who approve transactions on-the-go, to personnel who need to connect from the office or work from home,” said Asia-Pacific head of channel and enterprise services, treasury and trade solutions, Keng-Mun Lee.
“In addition, it enhances the security of their login process, whilst complying with applicable local regulatory requirements.”
In Oceania, MobilePASS will be available in both the Australian and New Zealand markets; in addition, Citi would launch the offering across Asia in Malaysia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Vietnam, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and the Philippines.
“This solution is an important part of our continuous effort led by Citi Innovation Lab to bring best-in-class digitized experience to our clients,” Lee said.
MobilePASS users would also be able to mitigate against security risks with features including PIN, swipe, and fingerprint ID.
