Westpac NZ continues to make strides in the digital and innovation space, after securing Air New Zealand’s Global Head of Social Media, Jo Brothers, who will join the bank in the newly created role of Social and Digital Innovation Director.
Westpac NZ Chief Digital Officer Simon Pomeroy said Brothers’ decision to join the bank will be a game changer for the bank’s digital strategy. "Jo’s track record of achievement speaks for itself. Her global network and understanding of how to use social and web channels to access and grow customers forms a key part of our digital strategy and ambition to offer customers the best banking experience in New Zealand."
Brothers’ leadership at Air New Zealand has seen the airline become regarded as a global leader in attracting and engaging customers through social media, with over 1.5 million followers across online social channels.
Brothers will begin her new role at Westpac NZ in mid-October, and will oversee the bank’s media and website strategies.
