Australia’s most popular online payments system has named a new marketing leader.
Former Westpac marketing leader, Elaine Herlihy, will take on the role having also previously worked as a marketing head with BT Financial Group and Reuters.
The announcement of the new marketing head coincides with the launch of PayPal’s latest campaign New Money, which debuted at the US Superbowl earlier this year.
PayPal managing director Libby Roy said that Herlihy’s appointment coincides with an important transition for the payments giant.
“Elaine is joining us at such a critical time for our brand,” she said.
“Australians are fast technology adopters; the rate of change in the financial services industry is quickening and will lead to Australian consumers meeting their financial needs in very different ways in the next few years.”
