Standard Chartered Bank Hong Kong has unveiled a Touch Login capability to enhance the digital banking experience for clients.

Touch Login fingerprint recognition technology will allow customers to quickly access mobile banking services on smartphones and tablets, using biometric technology to increase Cybersecurity.

The new technology offering is available on the Standard Chartered Hong Kong (SCHK) banking app and is set to bring a new level of customer experience to the digital offerings for banking. SCHK managing director and head of retail banking, Samir Subberwal said: “The latest suite of technologies will make our banking services more secure, simple and personal,” he said.

“This enhanced experience and security will bring out retail banking experience to a whole new level.”

The offering is available for both iOS and Android and follows Standard Chartered’s globally-announced initiative to invest AUD$1.96 billion into technology and digital between 2016 and 2018.

“Clients will be able to access banking services wherever and whenever they want and with peace of mind,” said Subberwal.

“We always strive to create an ever better banking experience for our clients.”
