Cloud security software provider, Lacework, announced its platform has achieved the Infosec Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) certification in Australia.

The assessment, completed by Australian Signals Directorate (ASD)-certified independent assessors CyberCX, indicates Lacework’s trusted capabilities to implement safe and secure controls to protect systems against potential threats and breaches, and enables the company to apply these capabilities in projects with federal departments and agencies.

“This IRAP completion is more than a milestone for Lacework; it’s a testament to our dedication to delivering robust cloud security solutions,” Richard Davies, Regional Vice President of Australia & New Zealand at Lacework, said.

“Our focus remains on empowering organisations with the confidence to innovate in the cloud with the knowledge that their security is in capable hands.”

The IRAP assessment comes as the Federal Government refocuses its 23/24 Budget priorities to enhancing its cybersecurity infrastructure and frameworks in the wake of several public breaches. The company said its solution offers a ‘Private by Design’ approach to cloud security and data privacy, in which “customers not only deserve but should inherently expect complete data privacy when they choose their cloud security platform”.

“Our priority is always our customers’ privacy and confidentiality,” Davies said.

“In today’s digital world, the highest level of security should be the norm, not an exception.”

The platform’s threat detection solution is backed by the company’s Australian data centre and can be operated across several cloud environments including AWS, Azure and GCP.
