Nirmal Khanderia has been promoted to Head of Asia-Pacific Corporate Sales at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Khanderia joined the bank in 2011 as the Head of India Sales and was previously Head of India Global Transaction services.

Neil Harvey has been appointed as the Vice Chairman of Asset Management for Asia Pacific at Credit Suisse. This is in addition to his role as co-CEO for Greater China and CEO of Hong Kong at the bank.

Yasuhiro Sato, the CEO of Japan’s second-largest lender by assets, Mizuho Financial Group, will also head up a new Core Banking Unit.

Miranda Poon has been appointed as the Head of Marketing OMAM Products and Services at Old Mutual Asset Management. Poon was previously the Director of the Institutional Advisory Group at American Century Investments.

BNP Paribas has announced that it will hire 1,300 people over the next three years in its businesses within Asia Pacific, which currently employ around 8,000. BNP Paribas is in 14 locations through Asia Pacific, including Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, India, China and Hong Kong. The bank is targeting an additional €1 billion for its corporate and investment bank, and its investment solutions business in Asia-Pacific business, by 2016.
