Claudio de Sanctis has been appointed Managing Director and Market Area Head, Southeast Asia for private banking Asia Pacific at Credit Suisse. Most recently de Sanctis was the Managing Director and Market Head for Iberia and Nordics at UBS Wealth Management Europe.

Neil Harvey has been appointed Chief Executive Officer for Hong Kong and Co-Chief Executive for Greater China at Credit Suisse. Harvey was previously Managing Director at the Asset Management division.

William (Bill) Lisle has been appointed Chief Executive Officer at AIA Bhd. and ING Insurance Berhad in Malaysia. Lisle was previously the insurer’s Group Chief Distribution Officer. AIA acquired ING Malaysia on December 18, 2012.

David Fried has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer, Asia Pacific, at QBE. He was previously the Head of Allianz Asia Pacific, and takes responsibility for the region from QBE Chief Executive John Neal, who has been acting in the role since the former APAC boss, Mike Goodwin, stepped down in July 2012.

Ari Sarker has been appointed as the new India Country Head at MasterCard Worldwide. In the role he will be responsible for driving core business growth and executing on the fast-rising emerging payments opportunities in the subcontinent. Sarker replaces TV Seshadri who is moving to Singapore as Group Executive, Global Products .and Solutions, Asia-Pacific, The Middle East and Africa (APMEA) at MasterCard.

Shri K. Subrahmanyam has been appointed Executive Director at Union Bank of India. Subrahmanyam has been an executive with Indian Overseas Bank for three decades, with his last posting as the General Manager in charge of the Bank’s Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises portfolio.

Foong Pik Yee has been appointed Chief Financial Officer at Hong Leong bank, and comes to the bank from the role of Chief Executive Officer at Standard Chartered Bank Sal Lebanon. Hong Leong Bank has also appointed Jean Yap as the Regional Head of Cards and Personal Financing. Yap joins the Bank having previously been CIMB’s Regional Head of Group Cards and Personal Financing.

Robert Cormie has been appointed as the Regional Vice President & Managing Director, Private Banking Asia at BMO. Cormie joins BMO from CIBC Private Wealth Management where he was the Managing Director, Asia.
