Dallas joined Victoria Police in 2015 and is the Director of Strategic Program Delivery.
Dallas is responsible for the delivery of a significant technology transformation program, BlueConnect, which is delivering substantial capability uplift. It is improving ways of working for frontline members and helping address serious crime which is ultimately bringing about a safer community for all Victorians.
As information is the lifeblood of policing, it’s the management of this information as well as its connectivity to frontline police that is proving to be a game-changer. BlueConnect is made up of a myriad of technology projects all designed to improve policing operations in Victoria.
Dallas holds an Honours degree in Aerospace Engineering, having graduated from RMIT University in 1992.
Dallas brings to Victoria Police over thirty-five years career experience, having worked in Government and private industry where he has concentrated on delivering complex projects.
Prior to joining Victoria Police, Dallas has held leadership roles with the Department of Education and Training, and Department of Defence, as well as establishing a consulting firm of his own.
Dallas’s strengths lie in his ability to provide expertise and guidance in information management and technology governance, investment and development. This coupled with his hands-on experience in program delivery and complex change management, IT strategy, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), risk management, fiscal management and systems engineering, underpins his role as leader of a once-in-a-generation transformation program.
