Daryl is the Director of Business Connect and the New Zealand Business Number (NZBN). Business Connect is an online platform that makes it faster and easier for businesses to deal with government.
Daryl has led a number of programmes delivering large IT change, and now leads the Business Connect and NZBN teams in their goal to simplify services across Government. He brings his experience across numerous industries (in both customer and supplier roles) to ensure that the technology is lined up with the business goals.
Daryl has worked in a range of countries and industries including delivering Australia’s first mobile advertising model, technical products across Europe for Vodafone Group, running a manufacturing business out of South Africa, delivering Vodafone Qatar its first fixed line technology stack to sell broadband as well as managing several large replacement projects for ageing Government systems.
