Dave Abrahams has been leading the Data team for iag since 2016. This team is responsible for the iag group Data strategy and our next generation data platform. The focus has been on simplifying the existing legacy data environment by leveraging modern engineering principles and cloud services. Transforming iag’s Data team with solid engineering practices including Agile, Automation, DevOps, continuous delivery, and robust governance.
David has over 20 years of experience working in the technology industry including various roles at iag various roles at iag Software Development, Manager Emerging Technology, DevOps Manager, Rapid Software Delivery, Director of Data Engineering and now leading the Chief Data Office. Dave also founded and operated a small software development company for 10 years building technology solutions for companies such as MBF, RMS, Asciano as well as iag to name a few.
David is married to Jen and has three children, twins Josh & Elyse, a younger daughter Giselle and a labradoodle called Jasper (who is the real boss of the family).
