Jacinta has worked for 24 years in a number of roles including law enforcement and as a civilian delivering organisational frameworks, strategies and programs at a state, national and international level.

Jacinta joined the Department of Justice and Community Safety in Sept 2015. 

Prior to this she managed the transition of two statutory agencies to establish the Office of the Privacy and Data Protection Commission, now Office of the Victorian Information Commissioner.   As the Assistant Commissioner Stakeholder Engagement, Jacinta led stakeholder engagement across Victorian government departments and agencies to introduce the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 and former Commission.  With the Department of Defence she led national/international security investigations, reviews and audits, managed the Defence Industry Security Program and the implementation of the Australia – United States Defense Trade Cooperation Treaty security arrangements.  She also worked in the role of Senior Detective with Victoria Police and Queensland Police Service.

Jacinta now serves as the Director, Security Management and Assurance, leading the delivery of two new frameworks to strengthen and reform security and emergency management and assurance across the justice portfolio.
