Kimberley is the Deputy Director-General and Chief Advisor Procurement, Portfolio Strategy Division, Department of Housing and Public Works. The Portfolio Strategy Division delivers strategy, communication, procurement and strategic programs to influence change and deliver responsive services across the whole Queensland Government. Through the Responsive Government program, it works with other agencies to improve service delivery and outcomes that make it easier for Queensland to access Queensland Government Services. Through the Office of the Chief Advisor Procurement it collaborates with other agencies to build capability and improve procurement practice and efficiency. It also manages $2.2 billion in sector wide common use supply arrangements to create value for government and deliver on the commitment to supporting local economies and the environment. Before joining the department, Kimberley was a Principal at the Nous Group, leading the public policy practice in Queensland. In this role Kimberley has worked across Queensland Government departments, agencies and companies—including Housing and Public Works, the Department of Justice and Attorney-General, the Department of Energy and Water Supply, the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, the Department of Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning, Powerlink, Origin Energy and SunWater. Kimberley has a strong public sector background, most recently as Deputy Secretary in the Commonwealth Department of Environment. She has also worked in Victoria for the Department of Premier and Cabinet, and in a number of policy and program roles across the state’s planning, transport and agriculture portfolios.
