Biography

Kristie is the Director of the Data and Insights Directorate in the Policy Partnerships Puni at Te Puni Kōkiri. Kristie leads three teams to support Te Puni Kōkiri to develop strategic, evidence-based policy to improve Māori well-being and development: Data and Analytics; Insights; and Research and Evaluation.

Kristie is an epidemiologist by training and is passionate about enhancing the understanding of equity and the broader determinants of inequity to improve the lives of all New Zealanders. Kristie brought this focus to her work at the Treasury and the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.
