Marco has 20 years of extensive experience in senior management roles inclusive of 10 years of cyber leadership responsibilities in government, leading ASX fast-moving consumer goods public company with international operations in Asia Pacific region, non-government and not for profit organisations managing information/cyber security and technology risk.
Marco’s professional goal is to provide cyber security and technology risk leadership by setting a clear security strategy, driving its implementation, and ensuring security risks are managed within the desired risk appetite statement. This aim is accomplished through a meticulous risk-oriented approach towards investment prioritisation and the associated selective use of cyber defence technologies, architectures, policies and compliance frameworks designed to protect digital assets, corporate and personal identifiable information in a structured and documented manner. This capability is facilitated through the practical application of advanced cyber security governance and risk frameworks.
Marco has advanced postgraduate qualifications in Cyber Security Operations, Advanced Information Systems & Management and Engineering Science together with the Australian Government clearance rating to secret (NV1). Additionally, he has also earned the prestigious ISACA Certified Information Security Manager credential (CISM) and the Australian Computer Society CP accreditation.
