Dr Vogiatzis is a multi-award winning research scientist (national and international), and research data scientist that has over the last 20 years worked in the Rail Industry, Research and Development, State Government and most recently Local Government. In 2011, he was a finalist for the Eureka Awards in the category of Innovative Use of Technology for his Doctoral work in the application of Very Large Databases (Big Data) in Traffic Planning and Engineering. He has a passion for using data to learn more about how people move through urban environments, and is a champion of the Ethical Use of IoT data in Government Applications, and Data Quality, Integrity and Reliability
