Norafandi has been serving the IT Division of the former Bank Bumiputra Malaysia Berhad (BBMB) since 1988 until 1999. Thereafter, he was involved in the merger between BBMB and Bank of Commerce in setting up the new Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd and eventually held a position as the Chief Information Officer.
He has more than 25 years of experience in the field of application development working with vendors and external consultant. He was the PMO Director for Core Banking Replacement Program and the Project Director for Data Management Framework & Integrated Customer Information File at Bank Simpanan Nasional. He was also responsible in preparing the financial progress reports as may be required by the project to Ministry of Finance(MOF).
As the SVP for Al Rajhi Bank , he is managing Core Banking applications and coordinating enterprise-wide project status reviews, tracking timelines and budgets.
He is currently the Head of IT Planning, Strategy and Project Management Office for Bank Kerjasama Rakyat with 15 years of experience in developing and maintaining Core Banking applications.
