Paula Conroy is the Country Head, Client Management in Global Liquidity and Cash Management at HSBC in Australia.
In this role, Paula leads a national team of Client Account Managers and Client Service Managers who cover HSBC’s corporate and institutional client base. Paula’s experienced team are tasked with the day-to-day relationship management and servicing of client’s liquidity and cash management needs, as well as working towards streamlining client’s interactions with the bank, reviewing pricing and propositions, and providing a single point of contact for clients to engage with HSBC both locally and globally.
Paula has worked within HSBC for 11 years in the transaction banking division. She started her career with the Bank in London, looking after a Sales portfolio of financial institutional clients, before moving to Australia in 2010. She took up the role of the Head of Sales and Service for the Financial Institutions Group, covering HSBC Australia’s key non-bank and bank financial institutions.
Paula has a passion for the tools and techniques of Mindfulness Practice, and how these can profoundly impact leadership capabilities and emotional intelligence skills. Paula has initiated and facilitated the roll out of bank wide Mindfulness and Emotional Intelligence training within HSBC Australia, and gradually beyond Australia to the wider HSBC network.
