Sarah O’Brien is an executive with specialties in superannuation policy, regulation and governance, operations, technical and security, with in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry. She has particular expertise in the operational aspects of financial services and superannuation, and was instrumental in the regulator engagement, system design and implementation for SuperStream.
Sarah is currently Head of Regulatory Affairs at Rest, a profit to member super fund serving retail employees. Previously, Sarah successfully led the establishment and early operation of the Gateway Network Governance Body Ltd, which is responsible for the governance of the Superannuation Transaction Network of Gateway Operators for the superannuation industry. Prior to this she held regulatory and advocacy roles at Colonial First State Investments Ltd and Commonwealth Bank.
