Shaun Lordan is Head of Payments Partnerships and part of the founding team at Volt, the first Australian neobank to secure an unrestricted ADI license. Volt is on a mission to help people develop positive financial habits and be masters of their own money, initially by learning to save often and spend wisely. Volt is digital, independent, safe, and reliable, and is the first neobank to release a ‘no catches’ interest rate not riddled with hoops, hurdles, tricks, or conditions. The saving challenge helps consumers form a savings habit by choosing to complete six weekly, fortnightly, or monthly deposits. Deposits with Volt of up to $250,000 are also secured by Government guarantee (FCS).

Shaun is an experienced business leader and expert problem solver specialising in consumer banking. He loves all things product, analytics/risk and transformation, but mostly rolling up his sleeves and getting stuff done. Prior to Volt, he worked at three of the largest banks in the world – HSBC, Barclays and Westpac – across three continents – Europe, Africa and Australia. Notably, he led the Mortgage Product team across Africa for Barclays, helping to drive the business to be the market share leader in South Africa through the launch of innovative new products and expert targeted analytics.

Shaun has since focussed even more on the world of payments and is responsible for connecting Volt to several core payment rails in Australia. He also negotiated and manages key partnerships in the payments space for Volt and is constantly on the lookout for new relationships in this space that can deliver a win-win-win for all.

Shaun is a graduate of the University of Warwick and is the Alumni Ambassador for the University in Sydney.
