Simon Geraghty was appointed Executive Director Government Technology Platforms in the NSW Department of Finance, Services & Innovation in January 2017. In this role he leads the delivery of whole of government platforms and services, including the Government Data Centres and associated Marketplace services, digital licencing and registry services, and state-wide employee and identity services. He is also responsible for a state-wide program aimed at optimising network services to all government agencies through shared network technologies and better commercial outcomes.
Previously, Simon spent six years as Director Information Services and Chief Technology Officer for eHealth NSW and its predecessors. In this role he led transformational change that saw Information Services double its size and treble its revenue to deliver application and infrastructure services to Local Health Districts and Speciality Health Networks across NSW Health. This followed four years leading Infrastructure Service Delivery in the former NSW Department of Community Services.
