Sophie is the Head of Blockchain for the Global Innovation Labs, Commonwealth Bank Institutional Banking & Markets.Sophie is responsible for the Global Innovation Labs venture unit, setting the strategic direction and overseeing a portfolio of blockchain driven projects; this includes blockchain and emerging technology prototype development and testing, incubation and commercialisation, involving close collaboration with the Bank’s clients, business teams, fintechs and industry stakeholders.Sophie has a background in investment banking, working in capital markets in Europe and Australia, and experience as a start-up founder. Sophie is on the board of the Blockchain Association of Australia, sits on the Emerging Technology Experts Panel for the Australian Payments Network and is a governor of Ascham School. Sophie has Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Economics degrees.
