Stefan took the helm as Chief Executive of Callaghan Innovation in September 2022, following several pivotal roles within the organisation. With a background that includes three years on the Callaghan Innovation Board and subsequent leadership as Chief Product Officer, he has been instrumental in steering the organisation towards ambitious innovation-driven goals.
Prior to his tenure at Callaghan Innovation, Stefan distinguished himself as CEO of Creative HQ, where he facilitated the launch of accelerators and inclusive innovation initiatives. His entrepreneurial journey spans successful ventures across Australia, the US, and Europe, reflecting a deep-rooted passion for startup and scale-up ecosystems.
Stefan holds a PhD in Neural Networks/Artificial Intelligence and an MBA in International Business. He is also an accomplished author, contributing insights on early-stage venture development and parenting for dads to various publications.
