Ching Yee is the ASVP, Informations Systems Assurance at Astro Malaysia Holdings and previously Head of Technology Audit for United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd. She joined UOB(M) in 2015 to recently and has more than 17 years of IT auditing experience. She began her career with Multipurpose Holdings and had been working in MobileOne Ltd (Singapore) as Head of IT Audit before spending her 11 years with Maxis as the Head of IT and Network Audit.
Apart from leading the Technology Audit Department to effectively deliver the annual IT audit activities, Ching Yee is also responsible for providing advisory and strategic input on management’s initiatives to develop the governance framework which includes evaluating the effectiveness of systems and related controls, safeguarding of company assets, accuracy and reliability of information reporting. She is constantly driving the Technology Audit Department to perform beyond the traditional approach of IT auditing through various strategic initiatives which positioned Internal Audit to look beyond compliance to strategic auditing and provide value added services to the bank.
Ching Yee holds a Bachelor degree with doubled-major in Information Management and Mathematical Statistics from University of Western Australia. She also holds an NCC Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Computer Science.
