Carlo’s role at Nutanix is to build and lead a world-class Systems Engineering team that combines business and technical expertise with an incredible desire to make a positive impact on the world. Carlo has spent his career committed to a mantra of “How can I make this better with technology?” It began with an early appreciation. For as long as he can remember, Carlo has had a fixation on the mechanics of technology, a drive which allows him to challenge the status quo in how we make use of it. Carlo’s career has spanned numerous roles giving him a unique view of all aspects of IT delivery and adoption. He has gained firsthand experience as a key player in managing the data centre, cloud and network operations across the Asia-Pacific region for global organisations such as Wolters Kluwer and Dell.
Carlo has also lead multi-vendor pre-sales teams for Ingram Micro and Dell. His reputation as a trusted technology advisor and expert has seen him hold many consulting roles specialising in media, banking and finance, and education. Crucially, this experience has created a deep understanding of what it takes to run an innovative and efficient IT operation, skills he has used to drive Nutanix’s extraordinary growth in the Australian and New Zealand market. Carlo was attracted to Nutanix by the company’s commitment to simplifying the data centre and taking the stress out of IT managers’ lives. He joined the ANZ team in 2014, less than a year after its launch in the region. In this role, he’s built out a sizeable and growing dream team and led the region’s systems engineering strategy. Outside of work, Carlo can be found sharing his unique talent with others, often by volunteering with schools to encourage a passion in science, technology, engineering and mathematics in the next generation.
