QBE launches new platform to manage commercial risk

QBE broker Platform launch

QBE Australia has announced the launch of a new digital platform designed to provide tailored, data-driven risk insights and solutions for commercial property and liability customers, which it says will help manage their risk and build risk maturity.

Dubbed ‘RiskAdvance’, the platform calls upon brokers and customers to complete a risk self-survey, after which they will receive tailored risk insights and solutions from the insurer. QBE said the platform will help its users better identify, manage and mitigate risks their businesses may be exposed to.

In turn, QBE said it would collect data from each self-survey to help improve its decisioning process on insurance policies, “helping to streamline the new business and renewal process for customers and brokers”.

“We… know that customers are looking for simplicity, choice and flexibility, and a risk partner to help solve their unique risk needs,” said Rob Kosova, general manager, commercial at QBE Australia Pacific.

“By sharing information through RiskAdvance, QBE and our brokers can consistently and innovatively support customers on their risk mitigation and maturity journey, and help enable them to achieve a more resilient future.”

QBE notes that RiskAdvance will also directly notify brokers and agents of potential risk improvements for their customers, and will enable these parties, along with customers, to easily update the status of their risk improvements, which the insurer said will streamline its existing risk management processes.

Over time, QBE said, new functionality and risk management solutions for additional insurance products will be added to RiskAdvance.

“We’re pleased to be able to offer tailored risk insights and solutions to help enable a more resilient future for businesses, and empower them to navigate an evolving risk landscape with confidence,” Kosova said.

“At QBE, our vision is to be the most consistent and innovative risk partner, and we believe RiskAdvance is a tangible step towards that.

“We know brokers have a lot on their plates, so we’re pleased to be able to offer a more efficient and innovative new way of working together.”
