ATO selects Kinetic IT as its enterprise service management partner

Kinetic IT has been awarded a major contract by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) as part of its IT Strategic Sourcing Program, becoming the ATO’s lead enterprise service management partner.

Under the terms for the initial $50 million, three-year contract with multiple extension options, Kinetic IT, a Perth-based IT services provider, will play a key integration and management role.

The company notes that it will work with the ATO’s current and future strategic IT partners and ensure continuity of service delivery.

The firm said it has already commenced transitioning into the ATO’s operating environment, with transition activities expected to continue throughout 2023. Once its operations commence, from early 2024, the company said it would be able to deliver its services across major cities, including Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra, Perth and Sydney.

Kinetic IT will also offer SIAM (service integration and management) training for approximately 500 ATO staff and will also participate in the delivery of several digital transformation projects.

“Our team is looking forward to transitioning into the ATO over the coming months, playing our role as a key technology partner for the agency and enabling increased innovation and collaboration between IT providers for the ATO,” Michael North, chief executive at Kinetic IT, said.

“As well as engaging our managed services offerings, the ATO and our customers gain access to our nation-wide professional services practices to deliver integrated, innovative and intelligent outcomes aligned to their strategic technology goals.”
