DXC Technology gets $1.4 for Tassie jobs

DXC Technology would be  given nearly $1.4 million in a bid to boost its Tasmanian operation’s job count and filed further jobs in the state’s IT sector.

Following on from the 2015 relocation of DXC Technology from Sydney to Tasmania, the firm is receiving $1.36 million as an Industry Assistance Package from the Tasmanian Development Board to assist with attracting job-skilled candidates for full time roles.

Tasmanian treasurer, Peter Gutwein said over 50 new jobs were expected for creation which would significantly boost the company’s national profile.

“This will help DXC Technology expand its Enterprise Delivery Centre and will help its Tasmanian operation become one of the leaders in its field in the Australia and New Zealand region,” he said.

“We are working with them to effectively double their workforce to over 100 people.”
