FST Media and LogRhythm invited leading information security executives from across the region and North America to share insights and expertise on the current state of corporate cybersecurity. The discussion explored fundamental challenges in enforcing cybersecurity measures, the financial burden of prevailing security approaches, and suggested solutions to overcome latent vulnerabilities in existing infrastructures. Faced with a rapid surge in digital rollouts and an imminent explosion of sensor-equipped Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, executives expressed disquiet over the commensurate upsurge in cyber-criminal activities. During the session, roundtable participants voiced a demand for greater regulation and improved threat awareness training for employees, and stressed the need to build resilience into their information systems in anticipation of cyberattacks.
