Alan Huse is ANZ’s Head of Product for Transaction Banking. In this role, he has responsibility for the ‘end-to-end’ manufacture of the trade and supply chain, payments and cash management solutions primarily delivered to the Institutional client base, globally.
Alan has spent close to 40 years in banking, with a career spread over three employers (Continental Illinois from 1984-1989, Bank of America from 1990 to 2001 and ANZ since 2001) and three locations (London, Singapore (twice) and Melbourne).
Alan’s career has concentrated on Institutional, initially in Relationship Banking. He joined ANZ in May 2001 and after following a few years in the Relationship Management team in Melbourne he moved to Singapore in 2006 as Head of Regional Relationship Banking.
Helping to shape this role in line with the Bank’s then Super Regional Strategy, he returned to Melbourne in August 2008 where he joined Transaction Banking. His roles and responsibilities have expanded during this time across trade finance and cash management and included a spell as acting Global Head for a sustained period. He was appointed to the Product team in late 2017 and into his current role in July 2020.
Alan has an MA in Mathematics from Oxford University and is married to Cathy with whom they have four grown-up children.
