Ashwin is the Chief Data Officer and an Executive Director at Macquarie Bank responsible for the strategy and execution of data, machine learning and client engagement. Ashwin is responsible for all aspects of their data engineering, build, ML, analytics – as well as governance, risk and regulation. Unusually, he also owns the platforms that enable sales, service, marketing and omnichannel experience.
He has done several global consulting, start-up, and engineering roles over last 20 years before joining Macquarie Group in 2019. His role prior to this was as a Partner at KPMG, leading the Data business.
In his different roles as executive sponsor, principal engineer, and architect, he has created value for organisations by working on significant business challenges, with primary focus on digital, data and analytics.
Outside work, he is passionate about child education, macroeconomics, and sustainability.
