David is a professional aeronautical engineer with 26 years’ experience in both military and civil aviation including aircraft design, maintenance and operations. David’s passion for education saw him move to what is now the Department of Education, Skills and Employment in 2009 where he has worked in corporate, income support, schools, skills and training and now higher education and international. His current role as First Assistant Secretary Analysis and Data includes transforming the collection of student data and continuing the new department’s development of its data capabilities.
