Dr David Lacey is founder and Managing Director of IDCARE. As a registered Australian and New Zealand charity, IDCARE.org provides frontline support to community members who experience scams, cybercrimes and identity theft events. IDCARE is a globally unique support service, providing specialist counselling, technical and legal support to victims of identity crimes.
David has worked within the identity security industry for over twenty years, was formerly a member of Australia’s national law enforcement and security efforts in targeting international syndicates in committing these crimes and continues to work with industry and governments globally on how to advance response capabilities for customers and staff impacted by these events. He continues to research, teach and publish with academic partners.
